I wanted to finish the basement in my new townhouse to include a media room, wine cellar, an office, a workshop, and additional storage. When the builder installed the sump pump they conveniently located it in the middle of back wall. I had to build an enclosure that would allow access to the sump pump yet fit in with the rest of the space. The enclosure is topped with a custom fitted cushion and serves as a sitting area. The constant temperature is ideal for wine storage. A custom cabinet was built to house the dual-zone wine refrigerator and accommodate several cases of wine.

As a gourmet cook and a growing family I wanted a larger kitchen for gatherings with family and friends. By reconfiguring the floor plan and breaking down existing walls I was able to work with the architect to double the size of my kitchen. The new layout added much needed counter and storage space. I outfitted my new kitchen with custom cabinetry using full-extension easy-close draw slides. I selected a lighter granite for the main counter tops and a black granite for the island. I selected high-end stainless steel appliances, which include a low profile gas cooktop that blends seamlessly into the black granite counter top; and a double convection/thermal oven, which enables me to cook for large gatherings of family and friends in my new kitchen.
